A Boring Article (continued)

I am back as I promised with same old boring article. Today I officially announce end of research on the topic of boredom. Read on and be enlightened.............
I live alone most of the time so I have all the time in this world to get bored. Few of my friends just came to meet me and in those 10 days I hardly got bored. Now you will say we know no one feels bored in desirable company. Ever thought of this what is about that desirable company that makes those moments deprived of boredom. Is it
1. My eagerness to listen to them
2. Or was I amused by just looking at my friends.
3. Or was it that subconscious thing of just knowing that they are with you.
If you think its last two just stay with someone for a month or so you will know that you have been kidding yourself. Those of you who thought option 1 congratulations you are on same boat as I am. I will go one step further and say it’s not my eagerness to listen it’s just my eagerness. This eagerness can be for anything. My problem starts when I am eager to do something and there is no way I could do it. With this I reach my penultimate deduction.
DEDUCTION 3: Unable to execute your hobbies due to practical constraints lead to boredom.

I have covered most of the situations all except one. This one is probably the cause of boredom felt in office when I have work, friends everything around me. I call this boredom of monotony. As it is most common type of boredom I won't elaborate on it. This type of boredom cannot be fought as I don't control what work I do and when I do it it’s up to my boss. (I can write pages abusing him but this article is not about him.) This type of boredom is caused when one of the basic law of nature is breached that is law of change. What to do if I am in this situation. What I found to be most effective is take a break stay at home get really bored for some time then go back to work and I feel much better at work then.
DEDUCTION 4: Boredom caused by monotony.

I hope you were able to kill some time reading it I surely killed some time writing it. So long friends I'll be back with equally irrelevant topic.

p.s: you got any suggestion for next one?????

A Boring Article.

I rarely blog. I use it as a tool to take out an idea which is eating me inside out. I don’t care if nobody ever reads it, but it helps me to move on a date (rather dates) with another highly irrelevant topics.
If any unfortunate soul actually ended up reading it plz bear in mind these facts (if you can call them that) are not proven. They just sprang out of stem of my imagination.
Today I will disect a feeling which I have been feeling for long time the feeling of boredom. After feeling bored for a very long time I thought I’ll battle it out. Now to defeat an enemy you must know what it is made up of so I started researching on boredom. I checked all possible sites but none provided any satisfactory explanation on what this boredom is.
As per my own experience I found out that when I am feeling bored a thing which excites me a lot will also feel boring that includes my favorite song. At that particular moment there is nothing in this world that could please me.
Once I was fighting this feeling the phone rang and I got unpleasant news. Suddenly all the feeling of boredom disappeared and a new feeling of fear (which is not a pleasant one either) surfaced. This proves that feeling of boredom has a soft spot for feeling of fear. Or I can say I feel bored when I have nothing to cry about.
DEDUCTION 1: Feeling of boredom kicks in when every thing is going fine.
I often feel bored when I am waiting for something. That something can be good, bad or ugly. As it refrains me from doing something else. I am consumed in thought of that wait that nothing else can engage me. Once i was planning my third bharat darshan trip after finalizing it I just couldn’t wait for it to begin. I was feeling really bored at home. I just wanted to go on trip and thought I’ll find some relief there. After few days of finalizing the plan the trip had to be cancelled now I had to stay at home and feeling of strong boredom disappeared.
DEDUCTION 2: Knowing better time is ahead adds fuel to the fire of wait related boredom.

Deduction 3&4 are pretty much in drafting stage and will post it soon.

No Oasis in Sight

If you think America’s attack on Iraq showed utter disrespect for human life, shedding blood for oil then smile worst is yet to come.

Within few decades production of oil will reduce. Oil will be scarce. We are so heavily dependent on oil that country who has oil will rule the world. War for oil will be something common. If you are thinking of moving to Middle East and starting a family there then think again as it is going to be preferred battle ground in a decade or two. This generation will be witnessing more wars than any other generation.

We all have been hearing about alternative fuels but they are in short supply or very costly or derived from oil (e.g. electricity). What we need is a synthetic fuel. If we do manage to make one then pollution level will increase drastically. We all know we go for high mileage vehicles because of rising fuel prices. If a cheaper never ending fuel comes we will pollute the environment beyond recognition.

So party hard we might be the last thread in evolution.
